Mission 🙏

As society progresses to become more open and accepting towards LGBT people, it seems lesbian and transgender agendas in particular get less attention than the male gay community. Thanks to Common Language’s efforts — that’s beginning to change.

Common Language (Tongyu) — based in Beijing for over 15 years — exists to help the LBT (lesbian, bisexual & transgender) community thrive!

At the community level, Common Language offers in-depth mentorship for community-based LBT organizations, fellowships for community leaders — plus much-needed financial support through small grants. And at the individual level, Common language provides direct intervention and support services for victims of gender-based discrimination and violence in extreme cases.

Building a better tomorrow — Common Language strengthens equality, diversity, and openness for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
