Mission 🙏

Back in 2016, A Voice For Animals (AVFA) was born during a dead cold winter, when its founders took a trip to northeast China to rescue some poor puppies from the dog meat trade. The team managed to save 13 doggies, bringing the at risk pups back to Beijing to get the care they needed.

Fast forward to today, the PawSquad as transformed their home turf here in Beijing to a haven for all types of animals in need. AVFA’s mission is to re-home, rehabilitate and educate people about pet ownership in China.

Working towards a more compassionate, safe and secure world for animals, AVFA is pioneering various programs to offer assistance for pets and their owners:

  • Running a pet rescue shelter
  • Animal foster & veterinary care
  • Adoptive home placement for pets
  • Promoting responsible pet ownership
  • Pet-centric educational campaigns
  • Parties & events to raise funds & awareness

AVFA is a team of Beijing’s ultimate animal-lovers. They’re a motivated group of volunteers dedicated to the betterment of animals — in Beijing, across China, and around the world.
